America’s Kids Fatten Up After ‘Let’s Move!’ Cut
Let’s Move!, the initiative launched by Michelle Obama in 2010 to end childhood obesity, was a casualty of the recent debt ceiling budget cuts. Kids across the U.S. are already feeling the pinch, most likely because their pants are getting too tight.
The program stressed movement and eating right, two things 12-year old Billy Hookings needs to be reminded of constantly. Since the government shut down Let’s Move! last week, the 7th grader has packed on close to 15 pounds.
While the First Lady has been pleading with Congress to reinstate the program, Newt Gingrich says he couldn’t be happier to hear it’s been axed.
“I’ve been anti-exercise since Day 1, and I’m not a flip-flopper like my opponents on the left,” explained the Republican presidential nominee. “Besides, letting our children buy soda and candy is a great way to stimulate our struggling economy.”

Bette Midler Reveals She Wrote ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ for Al Sharpton
Bette Midler has won four Grammys, three Emmys, four Golden Globes and a Tony Award. But the 65-year old singer/actress said she’d give everything up for one night with civil rights activist Al Sharpton.
“I still remember the first time I laid eyes on Mr. Sharpton,” gushed Midler. “One look at his cherubic figure and big, bushy mustache and I was smitten.”
Midler says she grabbed a pen that night and within an hour had written the entire Beaches soundtrack, including the mega-hit Wind Beneath My Wings.
“Al just inspires her,” explained Danny DeVito, Midler’s longtime friend. “It’s as though the man is continually leading a march…right into Bette’s heart.”

Tiger’s Wood Ain’t Doing So Good
The past two years haven’t been kind to Tiger Woods. After being the #1 golfer in the world for 331 weeks in a row, he’s currently ranked 28th. And despite being a swinging ladies man while married, no one seems to want to date the mega-rich athlete now that he’s single.
As OMdoubleG previously reported, the 35-year old golfer was spotted at a speed dating event in a South Florida Holiday Inn last month. Well apparently Woods didn’t meet his match, because his profile popped up on eHarmony last Wednesday and Zoosk today.
Tiger’s publicist was mum on the subject, stating, “Whatever or whomever Tiger does off the golf course is nobody’s business but his own. And maybe Nike’s.”
