The nominees for the 2012 Golden Globes have been announced, and here is a list of who’ll be competing for Best Actor, Drama:

George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling…and Michael Fassbender?

“Even I don’t know who the f*ck I am,” confessed an out-of-his league Fassbender. “My first Golden Globe nomination and I’m up against the most talented, handsome leading men in Hollywood. If anyone needs me, I’ll be in the bathtub with my toaster.”

Fassbender is nominated for the French film Shame, which is eerily appropriate. He told OMGG.com that he feels embarrassed and unworthy to have his name thrown in the mix with four acting legends.

After a record heatwave hit the East Coast last week, Al Gore announced today that maybe global warming isn’t such a bad thing after all.

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant shocked reporters when he arrived at a charity event this afternoon wearing nothing but a pair of leather boy shorts.

ESPN reporter Mitch Fedders believes it’s a ploy by Kobe to win back the gay and lesbian fans he insulted when he used a homophobic slur during a game against the San Antonio Spurs last season.

The shooting guard, already ostracized for his prior mistakes (e.g., contract disputes and rape) seems to be going out of his way to prove he isn’t a homophobe.

“This morning he asked me if I thought Pau (Gasol) was cute,” said teammate Ron Artest.  “It’s becoming painfully obvious he’s willing to go to great lengths to prove to the world he’s gay-friendly.”

Lindsay Lohan’s career isn’t the only thing that needs rescuing. According to her Twitter page, the 24-year old actress is currently trapped in a Chilean coal mine.

In what many are calling a “desperate move,” the out-of-work star flew to San Jose, Chile on Monday and buried herself in the same mine shaft that over 30 men were recently rescued from.  That story captivated the world, and Lohan is seemingly hoping the media takes notice.

“We were offered an exclusive interview, but the price tag was too high,” said People Magazine Assistant Managing Editor, Anne Higgs.  “We wish her the best of luck in shopping the story.”

Chile’s president, Sebastian Pinera says he is very concerned about the American star’s well-being, and plans to have a rescue team look into the matter “sometime this week.”
