After The L-Word actress Leisha Hailey was kicked off a Southwest flight for kissing her girlfriend on the runway yesterday, she called for a boycott of the airline whose company slogan is “A Symbol of Freedom.”
PR reps for Southwest responded quickly, saying there is no truth to the story. In fact, Southwest VP of Marketing Markus Goerg told OMGG.com that “the airline has always encouraged hot, lesbo action.”
To be certain they aren’t viewed as homophobic, however, Southwest announced they are introducing the first ever Lesbian Only flight starting October 1st. For just $99, passengers will receive a flannel shirt and one way ticket to Las Vegas.
“For the record, Southwest Airlines encourages PDA on all of our flights,” said Georg. “In fact, I’ve personally installed webcams on each plane just in case any girl-on-girl action breaks out in the future.”

After hearing Fox blew $20 million on the pilot episode of their sci-fi show Terra Nova, I couldn’t wait to check out the two-hour premiere last night.
The show centers on the Shannon family, who go back in time as part of a last ditch effort to stop the human race from destroying the environment.
I sincerely wish I could travel back in time to get those two hours of my life back, as the plot was garbage and the “scary” dinosaur I’d read so much about was nothing more than Jurassic Park actor Jeff Goldblum dressed in giant T-Rex costume.
So how exactly did they manage to spend $20 million making what looked like a high school student film project? I was able to procure a budget breakdown from an old buddy who works in the Fox mailroom:
- $1 million: Cast and crew salaries
- $200: Snacks for interns who wrote the show
- $7000: Wardrobe for cast
- $640: 27 latex dinosaur costumes from Walmart
- $100: Permit to film on the old Lost set
- $18.9 million: Getting Steven Spielberg to agree to attach his name to this flaming turd
The Bottom Line: I can’t deny the show was entertaining, assuming you enjoy bad writing and over-dramatic acting.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

Earlier today, Paris Hilton made headlines when she stopped her SUV on a busy Mumbai street corner and handed a beggar $100 out the window.
Unfortunately, Hilton’s philanthropic spirit was short-lived, as OMGG.com paparazzi were there moments later when she approached the woman’s 4-year old son and asked for $99 change.
“I wanted to help the woman get her family something to eat by giving her a buck, but I didn’t have any small bills,” explained the celebrity socialite. “I’m not giving $100 away to some lady I don’t know. I may be rich, but I’m not stupid.”
Hilton, who’s in India launching the exclusive PH handbag line, spent last night handing kids in poverty-stricken areas coupons good for up to 20% off any PH purse. While the vouchers are said to have a retail value of over $40, several children were seen eating theirs.

Jersey Shore cast member Nicole Polizzi, famous for her Quasimodo-like physique, says the joke has been on us all along.
“I’ve been wearing a fat suit!” reveals the 23-year-old better known as Snooki. “MTV executives thought I’d be more marketable if I looked like a troll.”
Snooki’s sister, Lacey Polizzi, says she hardly recognizes her sibling on the tube. “She couldn’t be more different in real life. She’s so thin and attractive!”
Playing the role of “fat dog” has turned the reality star into a “fat cat.” Snooki reportedly earns $30,000 per episode and made over $2 million in appearance fees last year.

The MTV hit 16 & Pregnant may be off the air soon if 15-year old girls don’t start getting more promiscuous, according to casting directors.
“These girls need to start thinking about their future,” said executive producer Matt Boyd. “An unwanted pregnancy could potentially lead to fame and fortune in as little as nine months.”
MTV execs have been encouraging groups like Planned Parenthood to stop handing out condoms in low-income areas, and say parents and teachers need to stop telling our nation’s youth to refrain from pre-marital sex.
“These young girls should instead be warned about the dangers of abstinence,” said Boyd. “They’re flushing their potential Reality TV careers down the toilet.”
