In 2010, Sylvester Stallone had the nerve to combine a group of washed-up action stars from the 80s with a $70 million budget and a violent, nonsensical script. The result? A feature film called The Expendables that grossed over $266 million worldwide.
That recipe for success was duplicated for the film’s sequel, starring Chuck Norris and due in theaters this Friday.
The series has been such a cash cow, in fact, that a third film has already been cast. OMGG.com insiders have learned that megastars “entertainers” Corey Feldman, Ricky Schroder and comedian Carrot Top have all signed on.
“Never has a film franchise had such an apt title,” writer/director Stallone told us recently. “We’ll continue to scrape the bottom of the Hollywood barrel until we find actors who are truly ‘expendable’.”
